2013 Awards Season

Awards Season is upon us, which can only mean one thing for fashion bloggers - loads and loads of red carpet coverage. My favorite part of this time of year though is actually choosing what I would dress the stars in for these glamorous fêtes!
First up is Jennifer Lawrence, who I'm quite fond of (along with everyone else in the known world). Her fashion choices tend to be a bit futuristic, which I wanted to keep, but I also wanted to put her in something hauntingly beautiful as well. This Reem Acra (S/S 2013) is exactly that combination.

There is always something so soft and feminine about Rachel Weisz, regardless of what she's wearing. It's only proper that she show up in this ethereal Monque Lhuillier (Pre-Fall 2013).

Jessica Chastian is a lovely woman who wears pretty and flattering looks...and then wowed everyone when she brought it at the Oscars in McQueen. Jessica favors brightly colored frocks, and that - coupled with my selfish hope that she'll wear something fashion forward that will knock everyone's socks off like last year - has me dressing her in a floor-length version of this Peter Pilotto (S/S 2013).

Anne Hathaway usually shows up in classic silhouettes covered in sequins. It's kind of her red carpet thing. Not wanting to mess too much with what she clearly prefers and what works for her, I think she'd look stunning in this cerulean blue Naeem Khan (Pre-Fall 2013).

Naomi Watts is still quite the bombshell. I wouldn't recommend this cutout gown for many people, but Naomi has an effortlessness about her that's required to take this Hervé Léger by Max Azria (Pre-Fall 2013) from clubwear-inspired to more of a Bond girl feel.

Helen Mirren pretty much owns any red carpet she steps on. I love that she hasn't succumbed to shapeless/gaudy fashion defeat like many of her peers. She's in fabulous shape and dresses like she knows it. She'd be flawless in this Escada (Pre-Fall 2013).

Marion Cotillard has been known to go for either quite classic looks or very modern looks. I find her most striking with the latter, so I put her in a hot pink Chalayan (Pre-Fall 2013). It's a more simple gown, but have you seen how glamorous she looks in just a t-shirt and jeans? (Oh, the French...)

Amy Adams sticks to tailored jewel tones for special events, but I'd love to see her show up in this Matthew Williamson (Pre-Fall 2013) number. It's carefree and a little bit earthy, which is what I tell myself Amy is probably like in real life. (I have nothing at all to base that on, but she's just so likable it has to be true.)

It seems fitting that one of the stars of "The Devil Wears Prada" should show up in this elaborate Badgley Mischka (Pre-Fall 2013) dress. Emily Blunt typically goes for the simpler, feminine gowns, but just seeing her face next to the gown has me crossing my fingers that despite the odds she'll show up in something with metallic embellishments.
